Cookies & Storage
One policy for Mindwell websites, with clear choices for optional services and storage used by the features you request.

One Policy Across Mindwell
Mindwell World LLC operates mindwell.ai and the Find, Journal, Partner, Auth, and Account websites described below. This policy explains their use of cookies and similar browser technologies. They use consistent Cookies & Storage controls, with the services available on each website shown in its panel.
Your optional choices are saved separately for each website in this browser. A choice on mindwell.ai does not automatically change a choice on a subdomain, another browser, or another device. One policy does not combine your product data or give permission for every feature.
What Browser Storage Means
Cookies are small values a website asks your browser to store and send with later requests. Local storage keeps values for that website in your browser. Session storage generally lasts for a tab's browsing session. Browser databases, such as IndexedDB, can hold larger amounts of data for an app. Some temporary features use memory without saving anything to browser storage.
Information saved to your Mindwell account is different from a browser cookie. Account records, journal content, and professional profiles are handled through their product features and privacy notices. Rejecting optional services does not delete that information or prevent the storage needed to deliver a feature you request.
Essential & Requested Features
We use storage needed to deliver and protect our websites, complete sign-in, maintain sessions, and remember your privacy choices. When you ask to save a favorite, remember a preference, or use another storage-dependent feature, the storage needed for that request continues to work regardless of your optional choices.
This is not permission to use required storage for unrelated tracking. Theme choices, remembered email addresses, saved items, and other requested preferences can be managed through their own controls. Camera, microphone, location, notifications, and product-specific features can also have separate permissions or settings; Accept All in this panel does not grant those permissions.
Reject Optional changes optional-service preferences only. It does not sign you out, reset your theme, erase saved items, or delete journal entries. Clearing all site data through your browser is a different action: it can sign you out and permanently remove browser-only information.
Public Website
- Appearance: an explicit theme choice is stored locally until you reset it or clear site data. Using the system setting removes that saved theme choice.
- Announcements: dismissing a banner stores the announcement's reset date locally so that the same notice stays dismissed. It lasts until the announcement is reset or you clear site data.
- Prompt Shuffle: session storage remembers prompts already shown when you request a shuffle, helping avoid repeats during that browsing session.
Find
- Saved Items: favorites and filters or matching answers explicitly saved while signed out remain in this browser until you delete them or clear Find's site data. Manage Browser Saved Data, inside Cookies & Storage, opens Find's saved-item controls. Account-saved items are managed separately.
- Appearance: an explicit theme choice remains until you reset it or clear site data. Using the system setting removes the saved choice.
- Matching & Comparisons: unsaved visit state is held in memory. Viewing matches sends your selected answers to Find's service; browser storage and server processing are different things.
- Sign-In: a short-lived transaction cookie helps complete sign-in, and a protected session cookie keeps you signed in. The transaction normally expires after 10 minutes, with a maximum of 15 minutes. A Find session cookie cannot exceed 30 days and may expire or be revoked sooner.
- Maps: where embedded Google Maps is configured, it is an optional Functional service. Without permission, the embedded map does not load; an external Google Maps link remains available.
Read Find Privacy for account-saved items, matching, and privacy requests.
Journal Web
Journal uses browser storage for sign-in, appearance and workspace preferences, and locally saved or cached content. It also keeps browser and session identifiers used in feature requests. Persistent local values can remain until the relevant feature clears them or you clear site data; session values generally last for the browsing session. Clearing browser-only data can remove content that has not been saved elsewhere.
Cloud-saved journal content and account settings are managed through Journal, rather than by cookie switches. Location, weather, notifications, and other optional Journal features have their own settings and, where needed, browser permissions. Your personal journal statistics are a product feature, separate from optional audience measurement of our websites.
Use Journal's Data Management settings to reach Cookies & Storage and its Privacy Policy. These browser controls do not change the native mobile app's permissions or settings.
Partner
Partner uses protected sign-in sessions and storage for professional-workspace preferences. Profile information and other records you submit are saved through the service to provide the professional features you request. Optional cookie choices do not prevent you from managing a profile or change those account records. Browser preferences remain until reset or cleared; sign-in state ends when the session expires, is revoked, or you sign out.
Auth & Account
Our sign-in and account websites use authentication and session storage to sign you in, complete account recovery, protect account actions, and coordinate sign-out. Temporary sign-in state expires or is cleared when the flow finishes. If you ask us to remember your email address or choose an appearance preference, that local preference remains until you change it or clear site data.
Account, security, and billing records needed to fulfil your requests are separate from optional audience measurement. Signing in or agreeing to product terms does not switch on optional services in Cookies & Storage.
Optional Functional Services
Functional covers optional embedded services, such as Google Maps on a provider profile. It does not control Mindwell's required features or your saved work. Each panel identifies the services available on that website. If none is configured, the category is marked Not Used and cannot be enabled.
Enabling Google Maps allows an embedded map to load when you open it. Google then receives your browser's request, including connection and device information, and may use its own cookies or storage under its Privacy Policy. Google controls the map content. External map links also take you to Google, where its own settings apply.
Analytics
Analytics means optional audience measurement of visits and website performance. The controls do not enable an analytics service in this release: the category is marked Not Active and stays off. We will identify a new service and request a new choice before it is enabled through these controls.
Hosting, delivery, authentication, and security services still process requests needed to operate and protect the websites. These include infrastructure supplied by Google Cloud, Firebase, and Cloudflare where configured. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a separate browser measurement service; its deployment settings must also respect optional choices. Our controls do not grant permission for it by default.
Missing, expired, unsupported, or unreadable choices do not authorize optional services. Global Privacy Control is recognized by the measurement check. We do not treat closing a notice, scrolling, signing in, or continuing to browse as consent.
Advertising
We do not use advertising cookies on these Mindwell websites. Advertising is shown as Not Used with a disabled, off switch. Accept All does not enable advertising or authorize using journal content or matching answers for advertising.
Saving & Changing Your Choices
On your first visit, Reject Optional keeps optional services off, Accept All enables the optional services currently available and disclosed on that website, and Customize opens the category controls. In the panel, make your changes and select Save Choices. Closing it leaves the last saved choice in place. You can reopen Cookies & Storage from the footer or, in Journal, Data Management settings.
Each website keeps a local choice record containing the policy version, enabled categories, and choice and expiry times. It contains no account identifier or browsing history. A choice is valid for up to 180 days. An expired record may remain until replaced or cleared, but no longer grants permission. A new policy version can require a new choice.
If your browser blocks storage, we cannot save a new choice; the panel explains the failure. Optional services require a readable, current saved choice. Browser privacy tools may also block or remove storage independently. Browser controls on one website cannot clear another website's storage.
This policy supplements the applicable product privacy notices; it does not replace them. For storage or privacy questions, contact [email protected]. For Find-specific requests, see Your Choices & Privacy Requests.
